St Katherine’s church is located just 6 miles from one of the world’s most famous university cities, Oxford. The Georgian church was rebuilt by Charles Peers in 1762-63, full of light and charming box pews complete with reading lamps and bare wooden floor-boarded gallery above. The church was a favourite of poet laureate John Betjeman who made a personal appeal via verse for funds to restore it.
