The Tipi or Teepee is perhaps the ultimate luxury camping structure. Iconic, strikingly beautiful, and evocative of a life closer to nature on the Great Plains; it is thought to be the oldest form of tent in the world, first used around 5,000 years ago.
Mid Wales Tipis large 21′ tipi is usually set up for 2 people, but it can accommodate up to 4 if you don’t mind a bit less space (the price remains the same). It is fitted with a wooden floor and rugs. It is furnished with a double and two single futons, coffee table, and cushions. It also features a kitchen area with gas hob and cooking equipment. In the centre is a wood-burning chimenea to keep you warm at night.
The tipi is set on its own secluded pitch with private cooking, washing, & toilet facilities. The site is enclosed by trees and hedgerows but still commands spectacular views of the mountains.
There are a great many footpaths and bridleways to explore – starting right by the campsite. In fact the Cambrian Way, Dyfi Valley Way, and the Glyndwr’s Way National Trail all pass through our farm.
